Unprecedented Patient Results
Introduction to Our Food Allergy Treatment Program
Announcement: Recall of Auvi-Q (epinephrine injection)
Sanofi US is voluntarily recalling all Auvi‑Q® (epinephrine injection, USP). The recall involves all Auvi‑Q currently on the market and includes both the 0.15 mg and 0.3 mg strengths for hospitals, retailers and consumers. This includes lot number 2299596 through 3037230, which expire March 2016 through December 2016. The products have been found to potentially have inaccurate dosage delivery.
If a patient experiencing a serious allergic reaction (i.e., anaphylaxis) did not receive the intended dose, there could be significant health consequences, including death because anaphylaxis is a potentially life‑threatening condition.
Dr. Jones is specially trained in asthma and allergy treatment, knows the most modern research, and utilizes the most modern techniques. Research shows that specialist care results in fewer hospitalizations, emergency room visits, missed work days and missed school days for those dealing with allergies and asthma. Care from Dr. Jones can free you from future financial burdens.
According to a Mayo Clinic study, a visit to an allergist/immunologist can significantly improve patient care following emergency department (ED) referrals. Health records for 573 emergency department patients who had met anaphylaxis diagnostic criteria were reviewed. The researchers found that, among the 217 patients who followed up with an allergist/immunologist, 35 percent of those patients had an alteration in the diagnosis or suspected trigger after allergy/immunology follow up.
“The allergist has the expertise to obtain a detailed allergy history, coordinate laboratory and allergy testing, evaluate the benefits and risks of therapeutic options and counsel the patient on avoidance measures.”
The article was published on September 22, 2014 in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice, an official journal of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI).
“I have been going to Dr. Jones for about 2 years. He made a plan for me, and put me on the latest medications to help my asthma symptoms. He called me on many occasions including weekends to make sure my asthma was not giving me any trouble. When I was hospitalized with the H1N1 virus, he came and visited me personally to check on me and my family. He has saved my life in more ways than one. I know I have the best doctor around, and I also know I have a good friend who cares deeply for me and my family. I am truly indebted to Dr Jones and his wonderful staff. With all that I have, Dr. Jones, Thank you, Thank you…”

“It is truly amazing to have a specialist taking care of your allergies and what a difference Dr. Jones has made! We are all currently receiving allergy shots and it has made a huge difference in my allergy symptoms.
I have loved the care Dr. Jones has taken for my family. He has made a personal phone call to see how we are doing. I have referred everyone I know who deals with asthma and allergies to Dr. Jones. It has been a great change for all of us. We love not itching, sneezing and wheezing our way through the 4 seasons. I have the highest regard for Dr. Jones and his amazing staff.”
Rebecca B., Salt Lake City
“I am happy to say that after being a patient for a little more than a year, I am able to breathe better than I can ever remember. I have also seen a significant decline in the severity of my allergic reactions as time has passed.
I have learned that my life does not have to be dictated by my allergies. My quality of life has increased dramatically and I thank Dr. Jones and his staff for making it possible. I recommend Rocky Mountain Allergy to anyone that is suffering from allergies; they can help you obtain a quality of life that you would not have otherwise.”

Dr. Jones Honored for HAE Service
Hereditary angioedema (HAE) patients from across the country were asked to nominate those people who provide the support that enables them to achieve their personal and professional goals, better manage their condition, and cope with the unpredictability of HAE. Dr. Jones was nominated and chosen as one of only five award winners in the nation.
“Dr. Jones helped me realize that I could treat my HAE attacks and that it was ok to expect a ‘normal’ life outside of HAE,” said Dawn W., a HAE patient here in Utah.
Haehope.com also accurately mentioned that Dr. Jones has helped many HAE patients with individualized treatment plans. He also brings in drug representatives to talk to HAE patients, and attends HAE conferences alongside his patients, making him an outstanding model of what it means to be a good HAE medical professional.
